This was a FANTASTIC breakdown of pictures that are so ridiculous to begin with - but I understand this started in the 70's but the trash can was THE BEST! I mean I heard his wife said that but the pictures are just INDISPUTABLE and really HEELARIOUS. I remember reading how he said the "Pledians" had said they were only contacting HIM and anyone else making money off of them was just digusting. HA HA! I remember thinking - WHA? And after I saw this GLORIUS article yesterday (kudos to the fella with all the reproductions too!) I thought if Billy LIAR (typo and it stays) literally COINED the term Pledian (because I can't find it before him but maybe I'm wrong?) then that means EVERYONE ELSE that's ever used that term is lying also? RIGHT? Or have we literally named a system the Pleiades? I mean what would be the odds that somebody was contacted by the name of an alien civilization that this guy completely made up which explains why he's so mad they are claiming that because he KNOWS IT'S NOT TRUE! I believe in extraterrestria l life - I think it's ignorant to believe we are alone but this type of long winded charade is just so sad and really hampers the serious investigative nature of UFO's in our history. Or he's schizophrenic (wasn't he in a mental hosp?) but I haven't researched that much and don't know what's behind his mental illness so I don't want to assume but if he REALLY believes this stuff - maybe it's because he really is HALLUCINATING this stuff? I wish I had a zillion dollars so I could dedicate my life to researching this stuff because I really can't get enough. I would love to cross-reference contactee information - is anyone doing that? Humans are so embarrasssing sometimes I embarrassed to be one.

Thanks for the kind words about the articles and picts :D

And indeed, as you point out, ALL those who claim to be in contact with "Pleiadians" should be seen as "suspect", and probable con-men.

Note however that there really exists a star-cluster that is called the Pleiades. But this is a group of stars that was known far before Meier ever started reading about it.

As for Meier's episode in a mental health institute, this was because he run into legal problems as a troubled youth. It had more to do with social and general health problems than anything else (as is generally the case for mental health problems).

All the best!

I been following both the meier case and the those that try to prove him wrong. Being and older guy, and educated with post graduate degrees and doing graduate level thesis, I know the amount of effort and time it takes to write a few hundred pages, and thats with lots or research and footnoting. But to originate 26,000 pages of information, without contradiction, is an incredible feat for anyone to do. In face, not many authors today, including guys like Tom Clancy and Stephen King, wrote 26,000 pages on one subject and they have an army of ghost writers.

I have also worked as an editor for a technical publication, and when you write about technology for a technology magazine with technical audience, you do have to know stuff.

Meier wrote thousands of pages on many things, pre-internet, pre-PC and much of it technical.

So I support Meie. I challenge you to write just 500 pages in a year on 1 subrject, without using the internet or word processing!! Think you can do it? Would you like to make a wager on it? You can name the price, I am sure I can afford it.

Zapperz, this is an argument that falls into the category of "if everything else fails, then lets try the one last argument that seems not to have been debunked (enough) yet".

There is a category of people who are simply desperate - and I mean really, REALLY desperate - to find anything that would prove the Meier case is somehow still authentic, and after all the debunking that has already be posted on websites as this one, they will advance this kind of argument, as if all the other debunking simply doesn't matter.

The problem is: it DOES!

With all the totally conclusive debunking that has been done (such as found on this website), it's simply futile to try to reason from what might look like a legitimate argument to some. The only reasonable thing is to see how Meier's large production of pages fits with the rest of his fakery.

To start with another argument of the same type as the one you're advancing: Meier-disciples would claim that all the pictures and films that Meier produced could NEVER have been produced by someone who had only one arm to work with. Well, the truth is that this is perfectly possible indeed, as has been demonstrated by Phil Langdon whose pictures and videos are found on this site, and who created ALL his models with just one arm, and then made all the photos and videos including the set-ups with only one arm!! So there goes that argument out of the window.

Could Meier have produced a zillion pages of accounts of "contact", "prophecies" and "sacred texts"? Sure he could!

Could someone who has a full-time job working 8 to 10 hours a day, 5 to 6 days a week have done it? Maybe not in the same time span as Meier. But Meier has no job!

From the time that Meier's pictures and films became famous and FIGU was created, the work at his farm appears to be done by others. So that leaves plenty of time for Meier to do the writing.

Note that he stopped making new pictures and films of "ET crafts". Why? Because there were simply too much people who could have noticed his fakery, which generally required somewhat laborious set-ups with wires and such.

Therefore, as pictures and films were out of the question, Meier turned to creating "sacred texts". Makes perfect sense, no?

It's not because some people could not come up with more than 500 pages per year that Meier couldn't. That's a lousy argument. Don't forget that Meier is no fool, has read tons of UFO material and scientific publications, as well as various esoteric stuff. But even more importantly, he's is motivated as hell to earn his living with his hoaxing!

It's nonsense to claim that the quality of his texts would somehow exclude the possibility that he made it all up. This site offers a few examples of the nonsense he wrote (such as here and here), and there is more extensive analysis to be found online that leaves little doubt that ALL has been made up by Meier. The "Talmud of Jmmanuel" must be my favorite. Gosh, you got to wonder what a stash of money he hoped to make from a replacement of the biggest bestseller of all times!

Thanks for your comment Zapperz. I guess your argument had to be addressed, as you're not the first who tried to advance it. But it just won't hold!

I'll just add these excellent links for further reference:
